Depression & loneliness among men

Our mission was born from a necessity, a worrying development in today's society. We see a community that is becoming increasingly individualistic, leading to a large increase in anxiety disorders and depression. And guess what? This group is mainly young men. More than 1 in 4 men indicate that they suffer from anxiety disorders or depression (Hupkens, 2021).

Our moment of insight came during Hard Times Unite Strong Men 4. More than 600 men came together to connect and strive for improvement. During the introduction, Miro Vermeeren confronted us with hard facts. It was confrontational but bizarrely courageous to see how many men stood still when asked who rated their lives as less than a 5. A goosebump moment and deep respect for the men who stood still.

Solution? There is no ready-made solution. What we do stand for is taking good care of yourself, so that you feel better about yourself and meeting other men. We facilitate this by lowering the threshold for self-care and we also have the ambition to facilitate coming together with each other.
